PhD in fungal biochemistry; Sussex University

Research in plant and fungal biochemistry and molecular biology at Horticulture Research International and Rothamsted Experimental Station, University of California, King's College, London and University of Surrey.
Reader in Molecular Genetics at North East Surrey College of Technology (Nescot) teaching molecular genetics and biotechnology. Research program included projects on microbial molecular biology, molecular population genetics and brain receptor molecular biology.
Project Director and Content Editor for the ESF/ADAPT-funded TOP Biology web-learning program at Nescot, and has designed and constructed a number of life sciences and other websites.
examples of work:

  • laboratory and classroom-based short courses for clients including Murex Biotech, SmithKline Beecham, Wyeth and Veterinary Laboratories Agency.
  • development of e-information packages:
     Genomics and Bioinformatics
     Introduction to NICE
    in association with Management Forum Ltd
  • website development for Quadratech Diagnostics Ltd
  • articles on new directions in drug development for the international journal "Pharmatechnology"
